I have sat down too many times to count to write this piece. I will start typing and second guess my thoughts or travel down some road of an existential crisis. But I think that it is important that a) we do things that maybe a little out of our comfort zone and b) we do things that we have always wanted to do, so here are 30 things I have learned in my 30 years.
Time takes time.
What you allow will continue.
You can always make more money; time is limited.
If you have a dream chase it because a dream won’t chase you back.
Success is relative.
It’s not always about what you know, sometimes it’s about who you know.
Sometimes relationships are circumstantial.
Learn to know that you deserve the world, but no one owes you the world.
When one door closes, another one opens.
Worrying is a waste of time.
Live & Let Go!
Don’t forget where you came from.
Most of the time less is more.
DO YOU! Because no matter what, someone is going to judge you.
Take the experience.
If it scares you, that is all the more reason to do it.
Find what ignites your fire & chase the match.
Dance like nobody is watching.
If you get a chance, take it.
If something is not serving YOUR purpose, get rid of it.
Enjoy the little things because they are most likely the big things.
Be what you needed when you were little.
Knowledge & experience is the one thing no one can take away from you.
Know the difference between living & surviving.
If you don’t look up to someone, don’t work for them.
Make sure you are aware of what is a YOU problem vs. what is a THEM problem.
Don’t make decisions on heightened emotions.
Remember, it’s your parents first time experiencing life too.
Life is all about balance.
I think the meaning of life is to be happy.
I would love to go back and extend on each of these thoughts. Let me know if you are interested!
